INDUSTRY 4.0:
THE FUTURE OF FACTORIES
Over the last two decades, we have observed technology and innovation disrupt trade and commerce (e.g., Amazon) as well as service (e.g., Airbnb). There will also be significant disruption to manufacturing industry, driven by new technologies such as cyber-physical systems (deeply integrated physical mechanisms, such as robots and computer-based algorithms), Internet-of-Things, and 3D printing. Professor Marc Sachon warns that leaders need to creatively rethink their operations and to move agilely in order to maintain the competitiveness of the organization they lead.

How and why do such new technologies disrupt manufacturing industry?
How will future factories look like?
What is the role of leaders in better preparing their organizations for the upcoming disruption?

In this forum, we will explore such questions and see some early evidence of changes that are now taking place. Please join us to acquire fresh insights into the changing nature of competition in manufacturing.
